In addition to arranging and producing my own recording projects, I have produced recordings for a number of artists over the years. In 2005 I produced Choros, a CD of South American music for the Spanish guitar, by classical guitarist Craig Einhorn. In 2006 I produced another CD for Craig Einhorn, entitled Something Real, a folk-pop CD of original and cover tunes. My past studio production/arranging credits include artists such as singer Reg Brand (in his appearance on the Voices for Life compilation CD of various Houston artists benefitting AIDS charities), pop recording artists Babs Julius and Jamz Larrick, progressive hard rock band Ark Royal (co-producing with former fellow bandmember Ronnie Pace), new age singer/songwriter Cindy Freedman, plus several recordings for the New World Festival Troupe (new age musical theatre).
In 2002 I orchestrated five songs for the Eugene Symphony's Valentine's Day Pops Concert, featuring Don Latarski and his band Rue de Blues. Later that year I orchestrated the score for M.O.B Productions' independent film Westender (music by Rob Simonsen). Westender is available on DVD, and the soundtrack is available on CD and iTunes.
I arranged two piano/vocal songbooks for new age singer/songwriter Charley Thweatt, one in 2003, one in 2005. In 1994 I wrote seven violin/piano arrangements which appear in Cabaret Violin Treasures, by Mary Ann (Harbar) Willis (Mel Bay). Want my help on a project? Send me an e-mail: raoswald@aol.com
I occasionally play solo piano engagements open to the public. I am also the music director for the Tango Center in Eugene, where I play live music for the dancers two or three times a month. I play either solo piano or in small ensembles, including past gigs with Craig Einhorn (guitar), Carlos Zapien (vocals), Ricardo Cárdenas (guitar), Joe Powers (harmonica and vocals), and John Polese (trumpet and accordion). Here are my upcoming performances: TBA |
